According to international regulations, the radio equipment of each vessel has to be tested and approved each year. Apart from immediate attendance of repair and maintenance services, Communications Gallery is approved to conduct these annual GMDSS radio surveys on behalf of major classification societies. Like ABS, GL, AND LIyod’s Register etc.

Due to long-term experience in servicing onboard radio communication systems, our service technicians have collected detailed technological knowledge. Therefore the classification societies have also approved Communications Gallery to coordinate and carry out the annual surveys onboard.

Gas & Liquid Leak Detection Systems
Gas Detection Systems include both combustible and toxic gas detection systems. Gas detection systems are often found in situations where gas leaks are not noticeable until they reach concentrations where they are a fire or explosion danger or become hazardous to human health.

Combustible gas detection is primarily designed to detection gas leaks before they reach levels where the can become a risk for fire or explosion. Common applications for combustible gas detection systems includes refineries, tank farms, fuel loading areas, gas turbines, power plants, pipeline compressor stations, steel plants, and engine test cells, etc.

Toxic gas detection systems are intended to provide early warning for short or long term exposure to hazardous gases.

Toxic gas detection systems are found in a wide variety of applications. Industrial applications include water and sewage treatment plants, steel plants, manufacturing processes, refineries and chemical plants, oil wells, offshore production platforms, test cells, pharmaceutical and agri-industry plants, and semi-conductor applications. Commercial applications include parking garages, boiler and furnace rooms, and testing labs.

We can provide a wide range of equipment for different gases and environmental conditions. Systems range from single stand-alone sensors or small systems commercial or industrial systems to large intelligent systems covering many detectors and a variety of gases.

Refrigerant Monitoring Systems are required for environments where significant levels of refrigerant are in use and where the possible of even small amounts of leakage into an enclosed area can endanger personnel. Stringent codes regulate the requirement for monitoring system design and installation.

Refrigerants and ammonia used in chillers and cooling systems are all highly toxic and exposure to even small amounts of these substances in the atmosphere can be dangerous.

Our primary focus for refrigerant monitoring is providing systems that are extremely accurate down to 1-2 ppm, while at the same time eliminating nuisance alarms. There are less expensive systems on the market, but most of these lack sufficient accuracy for early warning. Other systems displaying the same accuracy as our systems are prone to false trips. Our primary system includes a patented technology which allows us to be accurate to 1-2 ppm while eliminated false alarms.

The most common applications for refrigerant monitoring systems are rooms with one or more large chillers and cooler/freezer warehouses using ammonia as the refrigerant agent. Liquid Leak Detection Systems consists of water leak detection systems and fuel/chemical leak detection systems. Leak detection systems consist of a leak detection cable installed in dry or wet locations and a control panel (with optional distance locator) for monitoring the cable.

Water leak detection systems are commonly used in data/server rooms, electronics rooms, and document storage rooms. Anywhere water can damage sensitive materials and early warning is desirable. Fuel leak detection systems are most commonly employed where fuel can leak into water and sewage systems. The detection is installed in the water and senses when hydrocarbons come in contact with the probe(s). Float switches can also be connected to the same control panel to detect the level of water in a sump. Liquid fuel leak detection systems are used in underground/above ground tanks and piping, diked areas in tank farms, power plants, and airports, etc.

Chemical liquid leak detection systems are used to detect leaks of acids and other caustic chemicals in wet or dry applications. Chemical plants, steel coating lines, semi-conductor plants, and any process using caustic or dangerous liquids is an appropriate application for these systems. Integrated Fire and Gas Detection Systems are specialized systems that require expertise in both areas for correct application and design. Companies that are familiar with the gas detection industry are not typically familiar with the increased code complexities involved with fire protection standards, design, and equipment.

Applications for integrated systems include gas turbine protection, engine and automotive test cells, coal plant mercury shelters, marine vessels, oil production platforms and drilling rigs, and refineries.
